Facebook is NOT an ATM

Facebook is NOT an atm

If you’re interested in using Facebook for your business or increasing your activity on Facebook, there is one thing you need to know: Facebook is NOT an ATM.

Just because you start using Facebook for marketing people aren’t going to automatically do what you ask.

They don’t turn into mindless robots who do everything you say just because they see your Facebook ad.

If you don’t have a good offer that your customers want and you don’t have good messaging along with a system to follow up with people who do what you ask, you’re not going to make as much money as you could.

Facebook does a great job of finding the people you want to talk to and helping you develop a relationship with them, but then it’s up to you to sell to them.

The process you set up is independent of Facebook. Facebook is a great tool for getting your message in front of people, but what happens next depends on how well you’ve developed your follow-up system.

This follow-up system can use Facebook itself or it can be supplemented by email or even direct mail.

If you are able to close sales online – great! You can get an introduction, earn your prospect’s trust, and collect money without even talking to your customer. The best part is, you can do it quickly – much faster than you can in the real world.

However, you do need to have a complete system set up to make this happen. Click here for my free report “11 Tips For Creating Your Ultimate Facebook Marketing Machine”.

Even if your business isn’t 100% online, you still need to feed people into your sales process.

Many businesses can’t complete the entire sale online. For example, hairdressers, spas, dentists, chiropractors, car washes, lawn care services and other service businesses operate in a limited area.

Others like consultants, coaches, financial planners, insurance agents, and accountants usually talk to their clients before they even start working with them. (I don’t know many people who will hire a consultant without talking to them.) And Facebook can help start that conversation.

All of these businesses can and do use Facebook profitably.

They use Facebook to find people interested in what they offer and then send them to a web page, or to their website, to learn more about them and collect their information so they can follow up.

It’s all part of their sales process.

Facebook is a powerful tool that you can profitably use as long as you follow a proven system.
