How COVID-19 Could Change Your Business

I don’t know about you, but things are happening in the world that I never imagined would.

Disney closed all of its parks and cruise lines.

Las Vegas casinos are shutting down for a time.

Restaurant dining rooms are closing and only drive-through, grab and go, and delivery options are available.

There are shortages of food and staples like toilet paper, eggs, potatoes, water and milk at stores across the country.

Weddings and even funerals have been postponed.

Trade shows and events of all types canceled around the world.

Let’s not forget about sports. NCAA March Madness canceled, NBA season canceled, Hockey canceled, Major League Baseball opening delayed, High School state tournaments canceled and the list goes on.

Life has changed and while it will return to a semblance of normal it may be a while before it does, and we don’t know what the new normal will be.

How has it affected your business?

What do you need to do to move forward?

If you’ve been following me for long you know that I promote using a combination of online marketing and traditional marketing.

I’ve been promoting it for years.

Now it’s gone from being a luxury to becoming a necessity.

If you rely on meeting people in any way, you’re going to have issues getting them to gather in groups.

However, you can get them to meet online, and they are more willing than ever to participate. Especially if you can help them find their way through the turmoil.

I had a new client reach out and say this was perfect timing for his business. He hired us to set up a webinar series for him. This was supposed to be in addition to his traditional marketing, but now it is the core of his efforts.

He used live seminars to sell his services and people didn’t want to gather so he had to cancel ones he had planned.

How can you use this to your advantage? How can you come out the other side of this opportunity stronger and healthier?

All of us need to look at how we’re marketing online, especially as your audience is spending more time online. What else do many of them have to do?

How are you going to communicate with them?

How are you going to strengthen your relationship so that when they are looking for your service, they think of you right away?

This will look different for various businesses, but it’s possible to do and everything you need is readily available.

It will take some setup and learning of new skills and changing what you do, but once you develop a system you will have it to use now and in the future.

Your business will emerge stronger from this and you’ll be ready to dominate your market.

Times like these are when fortunes are made. Look back and see the foundations of many of the largest companies come from times of turmoil.

What can you do to get started? How can you improve what you’re currently doing?

If you’d like to discuss what online marketing might look like for your business, schedule a time to talk with me at . We’ll discuss what you want to accomplish and I’ll help you design a plan to make it happen. At the end, if you decide you want us to help you implement it, we can talk about what that would look like or you can take the plan and move forward on your own.

Have a great day!
