Let’s face it, after being in business for multiple years you start to forget what a difference you make to your customers and clients.
You’ve been selling the same old ________ forever and you’ll keep on selling the same old _______.
But wait a minute, have you thought about what a difference you make to the people who buy your products?
Everyone is looking for a way to make their lives better. Maybe it’s by buying an ice cream cone or hiring a lawyer or hiring an expert to help them with their Facebook marketing.
It’s your job to tell them why their life is going to be better for having purchased from you.
Some of the biggest reasons people might want to purchase from you are:
- They’re going to have more money from working with you. Either you save them money on their expenses or you help them increase their income.
- You’ve made their lives less stressful.
- You’ve elevated their status. Does your product make them appear more successful?
- And last, but certainly, not least… you’ve made their lives easier. Maybe you gave them more free time with your service? A good example of this was just this last Friday, as I was leaving my house for a meeting, I noticed the lawn care company I hired coming to take care of the lawn. They do a great job and it allows me extra time in the evenings and on the weekends to spend time with my family – instead of cutting the grass!
As you take the time to remember why you got into the business you’re in in the first place, you will see many reasons why people will buy from you.
If you want to take this one step further, ask your customers why they buy from you and make a list of the three or four biggest reasons that they do.
All of this information will help you create compelling messages for your audience – both in writing an ad and when you’re talking with them.
After all, everyone likes to have more money, be less stressed, be seen as a positive role model, and have an easier life.
What other reasons can you come up with for why people buy from you?
