The Secret to Getting More Done in Business

This past year my business has grown.

The challenge is now we have more to do and how do we get everything done?

All my team members and I have our responsibilities and we’re working at near full capacity. Might be getting close to time to hire again, but that’s for another day.

The biggest bottleneck the past month has been me. It’s hard to admit, but when projects are delayed many times it’s because I didn’t get my part done.

Letting Go Earns Big Returns

A few weeks ago, I decided that it wasn’t working for me. I was working more hours than I wanted and still not keeping up.

I evaluated what I take responsibility for and looked at what I could outsource.

I did most of the implementation in our email and business management program Infusionsoft. It’s a great program but it takes time to get everything set up.

I found a person who knows how to use Infusionsoft and we got started. I sent over the details of what I wanted to do, and he went to work.

Five hours later he was done.

I would have spent 20 hours trying to get this done. And what was more impressive is that it was implemented in a better way than I used in the past.

I have a list of back projects for him to implement so I can focus on what I do best.

Helping Business Grow

What do you keep doing because you’re the only one who can do it?

Most of the time you’re kidding yourself, just like I was.

Once I made up my mind and acted, everything happened in a few days and I now have an outside person who can do more for me.

Assess what you do and then make a list of what you can take off your plate and give to either someone else on your team or to an outside person.

This will give you time to grow your business without working longer hours.
